Aaron Nola worked seven impressive innings as the Philadelphia Phillies extended their winning streak to six games with a 4-1 victory over the visiting Miami Marlins on Wednesday.

Nola (5-9) allowed just one run and five hits and did not walk ‌a batter, striking out eight. Luis Arraez homered and scored twice as part of a two-hit night, while Garrett Stubbs, Trea Turner and Brandon Marsh each recorded a pair of hits for the Phillies.

The Marlins had won six of eight before losing all three games in this series. Javier Sanoja homered as part of a 3-for-3 effort for Miami, while Sandy Alcantara (13-8) yielded three runs and eight hits with only one strikeout over six innings.

After an uneventful first inning, Philadelphia opened the scoring with a four-single rally in the second inning. The final one was an infield hit by Stubbs that sent Arraez to the plate.

Arraez was back in the mix in the third inning, as he launched a 2-2 sweeper from Alcantara over the wall in right. The two-run homer was Arraez's sixth home run of the season and second since joining the Phillies.

Nola worked around a one-out ‌single in the fourth and then authored a 1-2-3 fifth, striking out Joe Mack to end the frame.

Miami finally dented the scoreboard in the sixth as Sanoja led off with a homer to make it 3-1. The visitors brought the go-ahead run to the plate later in the frame, but Nola struck out Griffin Conine and Heriberto Hernandez to preserve the lead.

Nola ended his night with a perfect seventh, striking out Mack on his 100th and final pitch of the night.

Turner provided an insurance run in the seventh when his double to center plated Kyle Schwarber. The Philadelphia slugger was initially called out at home before the play was challenged and overturned.

Jonathan Bowlan allowed a single and a walk in the eighth before escaping with help from Brandon Marsh's catch of a foul pop amid the fans in left field. Jhoan Duran worked around a leadoff single in the ninth en route to his 28th save.
