www.financetime.org does not collect or share personal information. We don't track or profile you. This page explains what that means in practice, and which third parties your browser contacts when you read an article here.
What we collect
We ask you for nothing. There are no accounts, no registration, no newsletter sign-up and no contact forms, so there is no personal information for us to store. Our web server keeps standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user agent — which are used only to keep the site running and to investigate faults and abuse.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. We run no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising scripts, so nothing is stored on your device to recognise you between visits, and no profile of your reading is built.
Third-party content
Two things on our pages are served from other companies, and loading them means your browser connects to those companies directly. They will see your IP address and your browser user agent, as any website you visit does:
- Article photographs, which are delivered from our news supplier's image network rather than copied onto our servers.
- The page's typefaces, which are loaded from Google Fonts.
Neither is used by us to identify you, and we receive no information back from them about who you are.
Advertising
No advertising is served on this site at present, and no ad network code runs on these pages. Should that change, this page will be updated first to name the provider and describe what it collects.
Links to other sites
Articles and our footer link out to other websites, including the original reporting and our social media profiles. Once you follow a link you are on that company's site under its own privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over what those sites collect.
Children
This is a general-audience news site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal information beyond short-lived server logs, there is normally nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete on request.
Changes to this policy
If how this site handles data changes, this page changes with it, and the date below is updated. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
If you believe we hold something about you and want it removed, get in touch and we will look into it.
