Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will meet on Thursday at the Republican presidential candidate's Florida home, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.
The full agenda of the meeting was not immediately clear, though one of the sources said the war in Ukraine would be a topic of conversation.
Orban, a long-time supporter of Trump, made surprise visits to Kyiv, Moscow and Beijing in the past two weeks on a self-styled "peace mission".
His meeting in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin in particular angered some of Budapest's fellow NATO allies, who said the trip handed legitimacy to Putin's claims to Ukrainian territory seized since Russia's 2022 invasion.
Orban has been attending a NATO summit in Washington. The Hungarian embassy in Washington declined to comment on the planned meeting with Trump, which was first reported by Bloomberg.
In the past several months, foreign officials have regularly sought out meetings with Trump and his key advisers to try to discuss his foreign policy should he beat Democratic President Joe Biden in the Nov. 5 election. Polls show Trump widening his lead over Biden.
One adviser, Keith Kellogg, has met with several high-ranking foreign officials on the sidelines of the NATO summit, Reuters reported this week.
Orban last met with Trump in early March. After that meeting, the right-wing nationalist prime minister lent his support to Trump's presidential bid.
