Turkey's inflation will fall to "desired levels" by the end of the year, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday, as the economic programme "started to show positive outcomes."
At a press conference in Ankara, Erdogan said the government was determined not to allow citizens to be "crushed under inflation."
"We were not, and we are not today, a government that does not listen to the voice of the street. We are aware of the problems faced by some segments of the society due to high cost of living," Erdogan added.
