London's FTSE 100 rose on Tuesday, buoyed by strong results from blue-chip company BP and a surge in metal miners as commodity prices climbed.
The FTSE 100 index (.FTSE) was up 0.3% at 10,886.98 points by 0905 GMT, while the midcap FTSE 250 (.FTMC) inched up 0.1% to 24,244.35 points.
