London's FTSE 100 edged higher on Wednesday, supported by mining and energy stocks, as investors monitored developments in the Middle East and awaited the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate decision later in the day.
The blue-chip FTSE 100 index (.FTSE) rose 0.2% to 10,894.67 points by 1038 GMT, while the midcap FTSE 250 (.FTMC) inched 0.09% higher.
