Germany's opposition conservatives have broken off talks with the government on a joint approach to asylum and migration policy, the conservatives' negotiator said on Tuesday.
The official, Thorsten Frei, said the government's proposals on the rejection of asylum seekers at Germany's borders did not go far enough.
