A testing company involved in California’s bungled February 2025 bar exam has reached a preliminary class action settlement with test takers who sued, according to a federal court filing on Monday.

Attorneys for both sides did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Monday, nor did a spokesperson for defendant Meazure Learning, also known as ProctorU.
California’s February 2025 bar exam — the first to be delivered both in person and online — was marred by technological problems, with some test takers unable to log on at all and others experiencing computer crashes and other glitches.
